Bellville MVRL closed for necessary maintenance

The City’s Bellville motor vehicle registration and licensing (MVRL) located in Reed Street will be closed for approximately six weeks from Monday, 16 February 2026, for maintenance. Residents are encouraged to make use of other nearby offices and the City’s convenient online booking and payment options over this period.
‘We thank our residents for their patience during this time while we conduct necessary critical repairs and upgrades. We encourage residents to visit another office in the vicinity or to make use of our various online options. The City regrets any inconvenience caused,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Finance, Councillor Siseko Mbandezi.
Convenient alternate offices include:
- Parow: Parow Municipality, Voortrekker Road
- Goodwood: Goodwood MVRL, Hugo Street

Municipal account payment services are available online via the City’s eServices, by using the QR code on your account statement or making payments via EFT. You can also pay your accounts at Shoprite, Checkers, USave, Pick n Pay, PEP, Ackermans, Lewis, Top It Up, Woolworths, selected Spar stores and Nedbank branches.
Brackenfell Vehicle Licence Renewal drive-through: The drive-through operates on Mondays to Fridays from 10:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00. Only card payments will be accepted at the Brackenfell Vehicle Licence Renewal drive-through facility.
